Cantabile is pianist Stephanie Koogler and soprano Valerie Shumway. They have been performing together for three years and are available for your wedding or special event.
Stephanie has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University and over five years of teaching experience. While at BYU she performed with the Cougar Marching Band, playing flute and piccolo. Her experience also includes over 10 years of professional accompanying including vocalists, instrumentalists and ensembles, as well as significant church music experience.
Valerie Shumway has been performing since she was five years old. She has experience in ballet, drama, and classical and theatrical music. She has studied voice with outstanding teachers such as Tanya Kluck (MCC), Marc Denton (CGCC) and Alexis Davis (ASU). Valerie has appeared in several musical theater roles including Miss Adelaide in Guys & Dolls, Ruth in Pirates of Penzance, Witch in Into the Woods, and Fastrada in Pippin. She is currently a student at Arizona State University.
